Fendi celebrated its monumental 100th anniversary at Milan Fashion Week with an extravagant runway show that dazzled guests and fashion insiders alike. The show, which drew an impressive lineup of celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Elizabeth Olsen, and Naomi Ackie, was not just a tribute to Fendi’s storied history, but also a forward-looking celebration of its future.
The Fall/Winter 2025-26 collection, presented by Silvia Venturini Fendi, artistic director of accessories and menswear, was a blend of heritage and innovation. Venturini Fendi emphasized that Fendi 100 was less about nostalgia and more about personal memories—both real and imagined—shaping the brand’s evolution. “I didn’t want to dwell on the physical archives,” she said. “Fendi 100 is about what Fendi means today and what it will become tomorrow.”

The show kicked off with a heartwarming family moment as 7-year-old twins Dardo and Tazio Delettrez Fendi, the latest generation of the Fendi family, opened the grand doors of a reimagined Fendi salon. Wearing a tribute to an equestrian ensemble originally designed by Karl Lagerfeld, who joined Fendi in 1965, the twins set the tone for the show, signaling a seamless blend of tradition and contemporary style.

Fendi’s commitment to craftsmanship was on full display throughout the collection, with fur and leather taking center stage. The first look was a luxurious shearling coat, evoking the elegance of mink or sable, while timeless, flared coats with rounded sleeves and dramatic collars made their mark. Textural contrasts were also evident in knit dresses with curly lettuce hemlines and chevron patterns in leather and knit. Fendi’s iconic bags—Peekaboo, Baguette, and Spy—were updated with playful twists, such as a reimagined Spy Bag with a twisted handle and large stuffed dolls hanging from bags for a whimsical touch.
