Cherry Red is the “It" Color of Fall 2023

If 50s fashion is the era of bright red that epitomized the notion of all-American girl, the last fall season’s color – deep cherry red – marks the evolution of a brand new perspective towards contemporary women. The traditional youthful, feminine, and innocent American girls are now transformed to elegant, mysteriously seductive yet untouchable girls. A more interesting take is how people also associate this cherry red color with a “Lana Del Rey aesthetic”, especially her styles from Ultraviolence or Born to Die album. Cherry has long been seen as a sensual type of fruit. Combined with red, a color of boldness and statement making but this time make it darker, more subtle, and silently powerful, is the perfect energy for this fall season.
