Stepping into Café Kitsuné – Tuleries felt like entering a world where coffee meets fashion. The space was small but stylish, effortlessly blending the coolness of Maison Kitsuné’s brand with the laid-back café vibe. Pop and R&B music played softly in the background, giving off an energetic, young, and hip vibe, making it feel like a hidden gem in the heart of Paris.

Maison Kitsuné, originally a Japanese clothing and music label, has now added cafés, and Café Kitsuné is quickly becoming an international phenomenon. From Bangkok to Brooklyn, the café has captured hearts worldwide, and the Paris location near the Tuileries was no different.

I ordered a matcha latte and a pistachio chocolate chip cookie. While the matcha latte wasn’t the strongest—it was a bit grainy and not as bold as I expected—the pistachio cookie was delicious. Crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside, it hit the spot perfectly. Café Kitsuné also offers a range of other treats, from ice-cold drinks to ice cream and cakes, all sourced from top-notch local producers. Their ice cream, for example, is made by the famous Martine Lambert, and their cookies and cakes come from the Parisian bakery Noglou, including their adorable fox-shaped cookies.

For coffee lovers, Café Kitsuné doesn’t cut corners. Although they emphasize sourcing locally, their coffee is custom roasted by Workshop Coffee in London. Workshop Coffee goes the extra mile, visiting farms and overseeing the entire process to ensure quality. The Kitsuné blend—made from Brazilian and Colombian beans—delivers a nutty, smooth taste with balanced acidity. Even if the baristas can’t adjust the water temperature for every tea, their selection, sourced mainly from Tea de Constance, is still impressive in both quality and flavor. For those who fall in love with their coffee, Café Kitsuné offers beans to go! You can grab a packet of their signature blend in sizes of 100g, 250g, or even 1kg.

The boutique at the back of the café was equally tempting, filled with fresh spring clothes that mirror the brand’s youthful, cross-cultural aesthetic—a mix of Japanese simplicity and Parisian chic. Everything felt carefully curated to reflect the cool, effortless style that Kitsuné is known for.

Though seating is limited to benches and stools, and there aren’t many outlets for charging devices, the café offers a clean bathroom and reliable Wi-Fi, making it a comfortable spot to hang out. Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee or enjoying a leisurely snack while exploring the Tuileries, Café Kitsuné provides an ideal mix of style, flavor, and laid-back charm.
